FACC Relies on Custom Packaging with the Kraft VPS100

FACC AG, a leading manufacturer of aerospace components, faced the challenge of managing box sizes from various suppliers. This led to increased inventory levels, high space requirements, and greater effort in procurement.

To significantly reduce this extra effort, FACC chose the VPS100 box cutting system from the Kraft Group. With the goal of storing only raw materials and producing boxes exactly as needed, the system was individually adapted to the customer's requirements.

Key reasons for the decision included:

  • High flexibility in packaging design using the KRAFT Box Designer (KBD)
  • Customer-specific SAP interface enabling precise cost tracking per package
  • Waste optimization to under 5% through the use of multiple material widths

Implementation was completed in a very short time – from the initial contact at the FACHPACK trade fair to delivery and commissioning took only a few months. Both training and integration into the IT systems went smoothly.

FACC now packages goods worth hundreds of millions of euros annually using the VPS100 – with significantly reduced material usage, lower storage costs, and increased efficiency. The return on investment was projected at approximately one year.
